Meet Our Executive

Chairperson - Peter Bourke, CPP

Peter is a Canberra based Senior Security Consultant with AECOM. He has over 23 years expertise in electronic integrated security, access control and CCTV systems. His expertise covers design and project management of integrated electronic systems developed around the principles of Security Risk Management. Peter is a SCEC approved Zone Consultant and has a University Certificate in Security Risk Management (Edith Cowan University), holds an Industrial Electronics Certificate and an Associate Diploma in electronic Engineering.

Vice Chairperson - Mark Jarratt, CPP

Mark is a SCEC security zone consultant and Director (Southern Region), ACT, TAS & VIC with security consulting firm Industry Risk Pty Ltd.

He joined ASIS in 1994 when serving as Chief of Security (agency security adviser) for Australian Customs, qualifying for the Certified Protection Professional designation in 1999. Mark is a former ASIS Chapter Chairman and Regional Vice-President, Australia (2013-2015), with a continuing commitment to security professionalism and development through ASIS.

Treasurer - Craig Mance,

Craig is a Senior Security Consultant who has been employed as an Australian Government SCEC Approved Security Zone Consultant based in Canberra for over 16 years and he has over 31 years of combined security industry and electro-technology experience. He has a Diploma of Security and Risk Management and is a qualified electrician and electronic technician. Craig was a CPP for eleven years but is not currently a CPP.

Secretary - Bou Waterhouse,

Bou is a Senior Security Consultant with Barmco Mana McMurray. Bou holds qualifications in Security Risk Management, Telecommunications Engineering, Assessment and Workplace training and Project Management. Bou has over 20 years’ experience in the security industry and is a member of ASIS International and Engineers Australia. Bou specialises in physical and electronic security, risk management and information communications technology. Bou has a strong personal drive and commitment to ongoing professional growth, both for himself and others.

 

Certification - Matt Warmington, CPP

Matthew has been involved in the security industry since 1988 holding technical, administrative and consulting roles. He is Director of the Canberra based security consulting firm 3DR Pty Ltd and consults in security risk management, physical security audit, assessment, design, documentation, project management and maintenance. He is a SCEC Security Zone Consultant and Radiation Security Advisor, and holds qualifications in security risk management, electronics, CCTV, and project management. Matt lives with his partner and two daughters in Canberra and has varied outdoor interests including boating, fishing, four wheel driving, touring and camping.

Law enforcement and military liaison - Luke Jamieson,

Luke is an experienced, practical and outcome focused professional with experience delivering security risk management outcomes for some of Australia’s most critical strategic infrastructure and providing protective security advice and training both nationally and internationally. Luke is the Lead Consultant of the Security Risk and Resilience team at Forcefield Services Pty Ltd with over 16 years of combined experience in the Military and Government Security featuring a range of expertise in the practical application of Integrated Security Design and management services and protective security controls through to the complex application of security risk management principles. Luke has been utilised as a subject matter expert witness in security related issues that have surfaced in the public domain.

Programs officer - Don Williams, CPP

Don Williams holds qualifications in Security Management, Security Risk Management as well as Project and Resource Management and is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP). He has over 120 publications and is a contributing author on bomb safety and security to the Security Risk Management Body of Knowledge and the Protection of Assets Manual. He is a member of ASIS-International the Institute of Explosive Engineers, the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators, and the International Association of Protective Structures.

Young professionals liaison - Kylie-JoAnn Hughes,

Membership - Shane Norton, CPP

Shane is an experienced security risk management consultant (2ABC NSW Licenced Security Consultant, Certified Protection Professional). He leads a team of security and protection specialists that provide talented and trustworthy services to clients who seek to build secure, compliant and resilient organisations. As an accomplished adviser, designer and assesser of security risk, he takes lead roles in complex projects; demonstrating proven ability to consistently deliver client outcomes under demanding circumstances. He is uniquely recognised for his high security but discrete designs in some of our region’s most beautiful and well-known buildings.
