Bou Waterhouse Awarded 2020 ASIS ACT Chapter Certification Accelerator Scholarship


Mr Bou Waterhouse, Senior Security Consultant with BMM Engineering and Secretary of ASIS ACT Chapter #260, is the successful candidate for award of the ASIS Foundation Certification Accelerator Scholarship, sponsored by Convergint Technologies.

The scholarship covers one free examination to qualify for any of the ISO17028 compliant security professional certifications offered by ASIS International; the Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) designations.

Mr Waterhouse has over 20 years’ experience in the security profession, from security guard in the hospitality sector to Senior Security Consultant.

His experience includes sales, project management, and installation and maintenance of major systems including access control, CCTV and intruder detection for hospitals, prisons, critical infrastructure and commercial sites.

Bou holds qualifications in Security Risk Management, Telecommunications Engineering, Workplace Training and Assessment, Project Management, and Cyber Security.

In addition to his ASIS volunteer security leader role, he is a member of Engineers Australia. His strong personal drive and commitment to continuing security professional development made Bou the outstanding candidate for the 2020 ASIS ACT Certification Acceleration Scholarship.

The scholarship will be awarded at the ASIS ACT Annual General Meeting on 9 December 2020 at Eastlakes Football Club, Oxley Street, Griffith.
